Shore hardness serves as a core parameter for the selection of industrial rubber products, directly determining the fitting tightness, compression resistance and service life of rubber seals, hoses and gaskets. Most equipment issues such as medium leakage, poor fitting and premature aging stem from improper rubber hardness selection. Shore A hardness applies to soft and medium-hard rubber with a common range of 30A to 90A. Precise matching between operating conditions and hardness is key to reliable sealing: low-pressure static sealing benefits from Shore A soft rubber to ensure tight conformity; high-pressure dynamic sealing requires medium-to-high Shore A or low Shore D materials to prevent extrusion and leakage.
