The rubber sealing gasket basically plays a role of sealing and preventing leakage . The more common raw materials for rubber seals are NR, SBR, NBR, SIL, CR, FKM, etc. Because of the different characteristics of rubber raw materials, it may directly affect the sealing function of the seal, so it is necessary to choose the material reasonably.  

Rubber sealing gasket not only has the function of sealing, it also has particularly good elasticity and resilience, and it also has appropriate mechanical strength, such a sealing ring will be more durable than other materials.

For example, the NBR seal ring has anti-wear, air permeability, oil resistance and other properties, and is usually suitable for use in mineral hydraulic oil, grease, silicone oil, flame retardant fluid, and 80 degrees hot water. But NBR sealing rings are not suitable for use in polar solvents and brake fluids and other additives.

NBR rubber is widely used in the market, and it is also a part with relatively small investment cost. It has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and oil resistance. It is suitable for almost all oils.
